The Aqueduct at Nanzenji Temple

There is a place which is like a scene of a movie.

The aqueduct at Nanzenji temple that passes through the temple grounds.

It is part of a canal system that was constructed to carry water and goods between Kyoto and Lake Biwa.

Though this Western style building is next to Nanzenji, which is one of the best traditional zen temple in Japan, those two interestingly go together.

People can see different views each season.

For example, this is Summer

And this is Autumn

I recommend you to take a picture at the arch of the aqueduct.

The logo of the blue bottle is printed on the traditional Japanese style building.

映画のワンシーンに出てくるような素敵な場所があります。

南禅寺水路閣は琵琶湖の水を京都市内に引き込むために作られました。

京都の禅寺のなかでもトップ５の格式を持つお寺として知られている南禅寺の隣にたたずむ西洋風デザインの水路閣。

和と洋の建物の造りって全くちがうけど、なんだか不思議とマッチしていておもしろいんです。

水路は暑い夏にはいるだけで涼しくなりそうな癒しの場所であり、秋には真っ赤に染まったもみじを見物しに多くの人々がやってきます。

季節によって雰囲気が違っていて面白いでしょう？（*＾＾*）
